    Omega.
The word alone conjures images of corruption and death, and for good reason. Murder is a regular occurrence there, enough to where most citizens barely give the dead a second glance. Those who are not by nature brutal and hard-hearted are at a disadvantage, and their only true course of safety is simply to hide and try to keep their own necks safe. Gangs of all types make Omega their home, including the notorious trio of the Blood Pack, Blue Suns and Eclipse; and the only reason there hasn't been an all-out war is the influence of the self-proclaimed queen of the station, Aria T'Loak. She is Omega, for better or worse, and there is only one true rule on Omega.

    Don't fuck with Aria.

But now it appears that rule has been broken. As of now, it is little more than a rumor, the deaths could very well be nothing but unusually high gang activity; but it's still a fact-- every day, gang members are found dead. Further investigation yields that they might have had a particularly large streak of intimidating and shaking down locals for protection money, or might have indulged in worse crimes than usual. Whatever the reason, if there even is one, this person (or persons) must be found. Aria has no particularly deep love for any of the gangs herself, but if there's someone going around and scaring citizens more than usual, she has to take action.

The gangs call this figure a scourge.
The few good souls on Omega call them Archangel.

    Basic plot.
The year is 2185. Commander Shepard is the first human Spectre, and is currently doing work for the Council along with a hand-picked crew that includes a number of different races, serving as a great example to all those who hope to see more inter-species co-operation. There is no Reaper threat, though there are still some conflicts with the geth due to attacks on diplomatic parties on either side. Life is more or less what you can expect in a galaxy teeming with life; that is to say, often dangerous and full of surprises.

This is an alternate universe take on Mass Effect, where the Reapers aren't around, Cerberus is just guilty of all sorts of crimes without the excuse of their leader being indoctrinated, and Saren was brought in on various other charges. This also means that Garrus was not able to take on the role of Archangel, due to his duties on the Normandy... but considering Omega, it was only a matter of time until someone did it anyway.

So, what's the plot? Basically, life on Omega as part of Archangel's group, part of a gang trying to bring him (or her) down, or some more-or-less neutral third party caught up in it all. The plot may go offworld and elsewhere eventually, it may end with the grisly death of Archangel, or perhaps continue the theme of the AU and end in a clean Omega... ... though I will personally try to ensure that one doesn't happen xD

    Basic rules.

-Know Mass Effect. In particular, Mass Effect 1 and at least the first few hours of 2. Here's a link to the wiki if you need some refreshers.

-No canon main characters are playable. Shepard, Garrus, Liara, Wrex, Grunt, Tali, Mordin, Thane and the like are strictly off limits. They can be mentioned, but they cannot be played. ... also, for sake of reference, we're considering the Shepard in this 'verse to be female. On a similar note, no relatives to canon characters. At all.

-Unplayable races: geth, rachni, yahg. Anything else? Just make sure you've got your facts right and go right on ahead.

-Unusable weapons: Any variant on the Widow, any geth or Collector weapon, and the M-300 Claymore.

-Character sheets will need to be approved before play, just in case.

-Keep everything relatively tasteful-- don't swear more than necessary for your character (that said, you want to play a foul-mouth along the lines of Jack? Go for it), don't get too heavy into gore (this is Mass Effect, not Saw), and fade to black when necessary (even the games didn't get really graphic with it).

-Don't kill another character without permission.

-Obviously, don't godmod, powerplay, or create Sues.

-Post enough to keep the story going-- ideally, a paragraph or two per character. Make sure to use proper spelling and grammar; and if necessary, speech patterns applicable to your character's race.

-No more than two characters per person at the moment, though this is very likely to change as we go.

    -Have fun!

    Username:
    Commander Shepard

    Character Name:
    Silha Ferus

    Notable Aliases:
    Ardent Rhys

    Age:
    28

    Sex:
    Female, posing as male.

    Appearance:
(Please note: My headcanon for female drell is that in terms of body shape, they are virtually identical to males, perhaps a little larger. The main differences would be coloration *males are very flashy, while females are quite drab* and voice, and probably scent to species keen in that aspect.)

Silha has the typical drell build— tall (about 5’10), flexible but strong, without being overly stocky; indeed, she is perhaps a little skinnier than average.

Naturally, Silha’s scales are typical of female drell— in her case, shades of brown ranging from soft sand to a deep chocolate color, with a frill the color of dried (human) blood. For the past two years, though, Silha has been undergoing regular treatments to keep her scales dyed radically different colors, more befitting males of her species. At the moment, they are a brilliant sapphire blue, with hints of cobalt here and there and a violet frill. For the most part, other species find it difficult to tell male drell from females, as coloration is virtually the only distinguishing trait (anyone with exceptional scent capabilities might find something is very off, though. And, well, if she were ever naked, it’d be pretty clear, but how likely is that?), so most others write her off as male and let it go. Another tell is her voice-- while Silha has more or less mastered the rasp common to males, there are times (often when she slips into memory) that she will be unable to maintain the voice and lapses into a very soft tone.

Iris color, when visible, is a very pale blue. Her clothing is simple, dark and close-fitting in case she ever needs to run. She has a particular affinity for human suits, and has a few modified for her body type for formal occasions. No armor save for the basic kinetic barrier most people have.

    Personality:
Due to her line of work, Silha is an extremely quiet sort of person. She listens more than she talks, and her responses are usually short, sharp, and geared to discourage any further conversation. The only people she might consider ‘friends’ would be co-workers in the club, whether they’re bouncers, dancers, or other bartenders.

She becomes a bit quieter when getting deep into her alter ego, doing everything in her power to stop any possibly compromising memories from edging their way into conversation. She also tries to be mindful of other species’ customs, and is in fact very polite despite her gruff demeanor— however, this is mostly to avoid accidentally pissing someone off and having them come after her.

Strip away all the hiding though, and Silha… is not exactly the ideal friend. She is, ultimately, only interested in her own safety, and believes friends are nothing more than another group to identify you if anyone ever asks; and her current lifestyle has only deepened her selfish tendencies. There is a chance that this could all change, to some degree, but... well, it'll take some working.

    Orientation:
Pansexual, with rather fluctuating preferences— some days she might be more into humans, some days she may be more into her own kind, then a particularly shapely quarian might catch her eye.

    History:
Like many drell, Silha Ferus was born on Kajhe. When she was about ten, she was sent to work with a hanar political official, in compliance with the Compact. Her parents kept telling her what a great honor it was, especially with such a high-ranking member— the official in question was on track of becoming an official Citadel ambassador for the hanar— and that she should treat the position with pride. Silha did not. Sure, she did everything she was told, but it was automatic, she was not pleased about being given such an… uneventful job, not to mention crowding her memory with an incredible amount of dull, useless facts that still play over in her mind on a daily basis even to this day.

She had to admit, there was one upside to the partnership she had been entered into— by the time she was fourteen, they rarely ever set foot on Kajhe, sparing her from the fate that many drell (including her mother) on the watery planet faced; a drawn-out death via Kepral’s Syndrome. Around that time, Silha had lost touch with most of her family, only keeping in occasional contact with her brother, and even that tapered off after a few years. For the most part, life working with the hanar ambassador entailed too much running around and not enough excitement for her taste, the most interesting things she did were her biotic training classes.

It happened not too long after she turned eighteen. She and her master, Argos, had been returning to the Citadel from a brief (not brief enough for her) trip to Kajhe when their ship was seized by batarian pirates. The crew and all people on board, including Argos and Silha, were taken hostage and threatened with death; and they demanded information relating to a new hanar colony somewhere in batarian space. Argos refused to speak, but as soon as they got to her, Silha told the pirates just what they wanted to know— after, however, demanding she would be spared. The pirates dropped her on a barely-colonized world before heading off with their new information. It took nearly a week, but Silha eventually made it to civilization. It didn’t matter to her that it was some backwater human colony, they had food and could get her somewhere else. She also passed along as much information about the pirates as she had heard, helping lead to their eventual arrest.

Since then, Silha developed a love for unconventional fighting. She had little love for a straight up brawl; rather, she saw more value and skill in taking someone out from the other side of the galaxy, spreading seeds of information that could bloom into any thousands of outcomes. She worked as an information broker for about seven years, hopping from system to system to cut down on any potential for lasting troubles. Despite her best efforts, though, her name is somewhat known, mainly due to the fact that she's run afoul of the Eclipse mercenary pack. She doesn’t like to speak of the main incident much, all she says is that it involved them chasing her around an icy planet for about two weeks before they finally gave up that part of the hunt, but it was never dropped entirely. These threats forced Silha to go into hiding, erasing all trace of her former self as possible and creating the new identity of Ardent Rhys. While she initially set her sights on the Citadel, the high security there made it a non-option. Illium was also out, considering the incredibly heavy presence of Eclipse forces (not to mention her fear of accidentally becoming an indentured servant or something), but there was a third. A very, very risky option-- Omega. The constant feuding with other gangs, she hoped, would keep the Eclipse mercs from noticing a new drell on board the station, and as long as she kept an ear to the ground, she felt she could do well. The past three years have seen her lying low as a bartender in Afterlife, but that may be changed with the rise of Archangel...

    Class & Abilities:
Adept. Powers are: Throw, Lift, Warp, Singularity, Barrier, and Stasis.

    Weapon(s):
    A simple M-6 Carnifex.

    Affiliation:
    Archangel (... sorta.)

    Other:
Not that I can think of.

    Character Name:
    Felix Lee Arcturious

    Notable Aliases:
    Archangel

    Age:
    31

    Sex:
    Male

    Appearance:
Felix is 6'4" in height. He is tall, slender, and lean while wearing silver armor with red trims. It is the classic Turian suit that all his kind is known to wear and rarely take off, but he made sure to add a few more ammo packs around his left arm and right leg. You know, for those tight situations when you just need one more bullet.

His hide is a dark brown in contrast to his bright green eyes. His Turian tribal markings are red and spread across is face like bloodied fangs. On the left side of him is a star-burst scar that spreads up his face and left mandible, but most of it is hidden by his armor. This was an accident due to his younger youthful days back at the Citadel that he no longer looks back on. If Felix is to ever not be wearing his suit you would see that the worst part of the damage was taken to the shoulder and neck. This can cause his left arm to cramp sometimes, but lucky for us he is proficient with his right. He likes to think it makes him much more attractive and visits the local bars to enjoy the night life often.

    Personality:
Felix's personality, for being what he is, is actually not as serious as you would expect it. Though he is on a personal vendetta to kill all the miserable thugs and gangs on Omaga, Felix enjoys a good laugh and will always smile when he gets a head shot in (He loves it when he gets those). His life is filled with near death and his own personal jokes, but it is more a diversion to serious situations that he does this.

Let's start with his lighter side shall we? Felix is still young for a Turian and enjoys a good drink. He would never say no to a female who wished to have his attention, but is careful who he sleeps with now due to his position. Though he may flirt around, he has never had a serious relationship, being that he still holds the Turian beliefs that a Bond Mate should be respected and personal. Although he does tend to reject Asari company for their melding minds thing. Felix just can't handle being with one in a relationship due to the fact he feels like he is not in control of the situation. By nature, he is dominate and Felix will never sacrifice his mind for fear of letting his guard down. So no Asari's for him, but he won't deny that they are indeed pretty.

Felix will give respect to those who are confidant in their strengths. He shows more respect to those who show that they have a brain though, for all his joking around, Felix is indeed good at getting out of tight situations and thinking on the spot. Partly why he has been so successful here on Omega. He knows how to think like the mercs here and often predetermines their moves, thanks to his father's tactical training of the mind. Felix is perceptive to say the least, his sharp eyes catch more than you would believe him to see, which is often the other's undoing. Where he may come across as brash and young, Felix will have no remorse in taking a life and does so without a second glance. When he becomes cold and predatory is when others become nervous around him, so he tries to keep up a positive image.

The darker side of Felix is what has allowed him to thrive here. Felix does not care what race or gender you are, if your one of his targets then your sure as hell going to be dead soon. However, his anger can blind him at times. There are no rules or regulations like on the Citadel, and Felix is free to kill on Omega as long as he does not tread on any toes. Well we can't have that now can we? Felix came here so that he could make a dent, and not just that, but a damn bloody hole to get his message across. He trusts those who stand by his side and tries to think like his father would. He will use his recruits to the best of their abilities, but will truly feel regret if they were to die on his watch. All in all, Felix is at odds with himself. One side of him wants to get the job done and the best place to do that is on Omega. The other, recalls what he used to be, an upstanding soldier who was son to the Primarch and was expected to uphold the Turian beliefs. When he was told to repeat the saying "Victory at any cost." Felix had simply said "At what cost would that be?" It was an appalling question that he had asked and that which marked him to be different than most of his kind. Felix will not sacrifice needlessly for one small victory. To him their are just too many variables. The victory has to be big and well worth the sacrifice. Omega- would be that "Victory" for him and at the so called "At Any Cost."

    Orientation:
Straight. Felix will not go for Asaries due to his preferences. Recently, ever since his C-sec days, Felix has enjoyed an array of relationships from different species. The Asari was a very bad experience, but he does enjoy his own kind, Quarians, and recently humans. More secretly though, he did enjoy a more personal relationship with a human female a while back. He looks more fondly to those and often wonders if all human females are the same. He certainly won't object to releasing some stress with you but an actual relationship is much harder to come by with him. Felix is just too deep in his vendetta against Omega to work on a real relationship. He can not afford to have any for fear of others using it as a hold over him.

    History:
Felix's history is not known to others. He made sure to get rid of it once he took on the role of Archangel. Of course, he himself did not choose the name. The thankful souls of this damned space station placed the title on him, and those who followed him just started to call him that. Eventually the name stuck and only a few members now know his real name. As to why the Turian came here, well, there were many reasons.

Felix came from a normal background and grew up on Palavan. He has a loving mother and a respected father, who was a general up until the last Primarch died. Forcing the older Turian to take up the position as Primarch now. Felix is the oldest of three; his younger brother Royuk, was always the one to follow rules without question, while their little sister Sarinnia was born to be a politician and can talk down the hardiest of his kind. With their father always gone Felix took the first opportunity, after he had finished his military training that is, to get off of Palavan and head towards the famed Citadel. Believing he would be able to fight crime and put the bad guys away, he was in for quite a surprise once he became a C-sec officer. The time in between this is something he does not wish to talk about so do not bring it up unless it's necessary. He has his reasons for now being on Omega and hes no remorse for what he does to those who he believes deserves it. However, Felix is still just your average fun loving Turian who likes to party and have a few drinks. It's no fun being so serious all the time right?

For the past few years now Felix has resided on Omega. He was originally here to just shoot as many lowlifes as he could then go down in a final battle with a mech or maybe a Krogan perhaps? The only problem was that the gangs were just too easy to get rid of at first. It became addictive, he was actually doing some good and making progress at the same time! This was simply not something that he received when he was with C-sec. Then came the name, "Archangel" they would whisper in the shadows, as others searched him out to join his so called "cleaning spree." This was not what Felix had in mind when he first came here. He had no problem with leading, but to be placed on such a high pedestal was not what he was going for...it just, sorta happened. Now Felix feels more responsibility than ever in taking out the merc gangs, and having a team to do so has helped tremendously. However, Felix is not stupid. He knows all this is going to piss Aria off and the Asari only has so much patience. Well, he wasn't here to make friends with her in the first place, so it will be interesting to see how much he can get away with since he has no intention of stopping now. Part of him feels it still would have been better if he just met his end fighting some Krogan Battlemaster or something, but nooo. He just had to be the vigilante...

Well Archangel sounds like the perfect role for Felix so I'm excited about the spot. Thank you, and I will get started on my form tonight! Nice to have a place where we don't have to block out certain words. If Aria was not able to say her famous line then I would feel sad. ^___^

Ugh, I know xD Anyway, I'll make sure to note that on the listing, and I'll work on Silha's form... and hopefully others will check this out, too xD but even if it turns into a smaller thing than expected, it could still be quite fun.

Angels: An AU Mass Effect rp. Empty Future Character

Post  Skeseth Sat Jul 28, 2012 6:16 am

    Username:
    Skeseth

    Character Name:
    -Raziya Arauxo-

    Notable Aliases:
    -Raz or Razi-

    Age:
    -25-

    Sex:
    -Female-

    Appearance:
-Do not judge a book by its cover. Everyone should know this, and yet who actually listens to that? Not many that first meet Razi, who barely pushes 5'1” and 120 lbs of mostly muscle, not that many can tell. The young woman's complexion is light brown with black hair, generally kept in a messy tail to keep out of her face. She has almond shaped eyes, a dull gray and rather unimpressive. She does not stand out in the crowd, easy to miss as another short woman. Or even mistaken to be younger than her age with well rounded cheeks and some baby fat that stubbornly lingers.
She generally wears casual clothing, finding it unnecessary to show anything off. Not something she wants to do in Omega anyway, and not that she has much in the way of assets. She is easily overlooked, and prefers it that way. She may be saving her money, what little she can set aside, she will finally be able to get some proper armor for her more dangerous tasks she is assigned.-

    Personality:
    -Somewhere along the line
    Things get chipped away
    This place keeps going down
Get a little worse every day
I see the hate and greed
This world's a messed up town
    Embrace the pain and see
Taking it back, you turn it around
    _Living in Chaos, Offspring

Up and down, down and up. Razi's had more or less a normal life for the first half of it, but no one that ends up living in Omega had the best life or survives long if they are a happy cheerful person. The second half of her life was a roller coaster ride that shaped who she became. It's obvious that the most important thing about Razi's personality is never giving up. She does her best to avoid a fight when she can, using her looks to fade into the background or avoiding taking any jobs with the worse mercs and gangs. Still, it happens. She does her best to win a fight, her determination not letting anyone get the better of her and show weakness. She got stuck in Omega but she is not going to let it be the end of her. It is all about survival. Her survival, and her mother's survival.

She is almost always on her guard. She may be called paranoid, but it is more like observant. If she walks into Afterlife, she knows how to get to every exit and who is in her way. She does not have any close friends, keeping her personal life personal. And she is fiercely protective of her mother, who she never speaks about openly for fear that she might become a target.

She is not overtly sexual or feminine, and still rather new to Omega's crowd to really relax enough to get into any sort of relationship. She is known to indulge in a few drinks at Afterlife, perhaps in hopes of picking up new jobs, but never enough to incapacitate her.

She is tomboyish, so flaunting for attention is not common unless completely necessary-- not that she has much to flaunt. What she is known for is having quite a bit of a temper when provoked. She is not shy about her biotics, nor about the pistol she keeps on her under her jacket at all times. And it is thanks to her size that she has an uncanny ability of escaping, slipping through crowds in Omega and disappearing into tight spaces.

The one thing she cannot stand on Omega are vorcha. Only just running into her first one on the station, and it likely was not a friendly run in, she holds a severe grudge towards all vorcha. “Disgusting ill-bred parasites of Omega.”

Overall, Omega has hardened her. When she was a little more carefree (not entirely in a good way though, but there were some better times of partying) on Elysium, the station does not allow for any of that. There is too much crime, corruption, and no one she has met has given her reason to relax in the slightest.-

    Orientation:
-Relatively heterosexual, has been prone to experiment and has been attracted to asari in the past.-

    History:
-Razi hails from a military background as both her parents had once been part of the Alliance military, though both retired by the time she was born on Elysium and taking jobs on the planet. Why they both retired is unknown, unless it was to raise a family. She knew that her father had even gone to Rio to undergo N-training, managing to go through the first training and gaining N1 status. He never furthered the training, happy to accept his post in Alliance before he met her mother who was in the Alliance Navy.

Razi's childish dreams had always been that when she grew up, she would follow what her parents did and join the military. They had retired but she wanted to get off the planet, explore and protect her home and other human colonies. They never had any other child but her, so her father doted on her and trained her when he felt she was old enough to handle a weapon.

She trained on Elysium between schooling and learning to control her biotics. When she was 16, however, her father was killed during the Skyllian Blitz. At the time, both her mother and herself sunk into a depression that led to the usual teenage rebellion. She joined the wrong group of people, experimented with Red Sand, and had a few marks on her record that would not help her in a military career. Her mother may have pulled out of the depression but Razi already had a rather lackluster reputation and only managed to pull herself together enough to help her mother pay for living expenses by finding a job that wasn't illegal.

It was years later when her mother suddenly had the inspiration to pack up their life and move off the planet. Razi suspected it had to do with an asari her mother had gotten close to romantically. The young woman only met her once, from afar. The asari left soon after and Razi suspected her mother wanted to leave the planet to find her. It was to her surprise that their destination was Omega, with barely any money to their name (as it had all somehow disappeared) and her mother refusing to explain their unlucky situation. They only had to adapt to their new lifestyle.

Razi was no stranger to alien races, but Omega was definitely not Elysium. While she is not interested into falling into the grimey side of Omega and joining a gang, even if she did have that rebellious stage in Elysium, a girl still has to make a living. Errand girl is a good title, and her pistol is never too far from her hand. She is not free from the corruption and while she avoids the worst of job offerings and does not affiliate herself with any merc group or gang, she has been hired to guard dealers, shipments, and other such tasks. Many have realized that she is easily overlooked, and it makes for a good guard when they focus on the more intimidating targets before they get to her. And by then, it is too late. She may not be professionally trained, but she should not be underestimated.

No one really knows her personal life on Omega, as she tries to never lead anyone home or tell anyone too much about herself for fear of them using it against her. Privately, she does live with her mother (unless she has an apartment of her own, but likely with her measly salary that is unlikely), not that she manages to get back too often. -

    Other:
-Y'all are going to have to bear with me... I have never RPed in this format before, and I especially have never set a personality on a character. I have a general idea, and I'm sure I rambled on more about her history in personality than given her an actual personality. My characters tend to show themselves only when I start to RP, so if she sounds different... well, they mold themselves in that way. ^^;-

So I've completed the form to the best of my abilities... but I hope it is alright if I tweak some other time even after starting. I'm not used to setting a character up to such an extent without even playing her once. ^^; Hope it's not too complicated or rambling! ... It most likely is.

Both accepted-- naturally xD I'm incredibly sorry for the lack of activity over the past few days, by the way-- as I told Skee, I've been hit with a lack of sleep and general anxiety over an upcoming trip, but I'll try to at least kick this off before I go (and I'll likely have some internet access anyway). ... though honestly, Bena and Skee, you are both welcome to put in your introductions whenever you'd like, since I think everyone will be more or less doing their own little thing before meeting up xD

Hope it's not too uncommon to want to at least watch how it's done before posting. Maybe get the idea of what an introduction is from both of yours posts or just wait for one of you ^^; Been excited but pretty nervous about posting here.

~. Turian .~ Male ~. 31 ~. Soldier .~ “All you have to do is just point and shoot.”.~

The artificial light of the Omega station were pale and sickly as they cast about their harsh glow. Often times the many corridors and streets were barely lit, making it the perfect haven for those to ambush the weak and frail. Many preyed upon the unsuspecting on these streets and the doom and gloom of this place was apparent on every citizens face. Most could not escape their fate here, while those who were forced to stay made their living off of others or joined one of the merc gangs who called this hell hole their home. Omega, home to the crime life of the galaxy and a place where criminals ran free. One such criminal lurked among the thick shadows of the streets below. The Batarian focused his attention on a young Asari girl on her way back from work. Her eyes held innocence, and in this place that would be her death sentence. The alien drew a jagged knife from his belt as he crept ever closer to the young female. The prey was just too easy to pass up and the young girl knew she was being followed as her eyes darted to and fro in the shadows. He jumps her, forces her against the grey metal walls of the narrow corridor, and holds the knife to her throat as a wicked smile parted his rough face. The asari stared at the alien in fear when his head suddenly explodes before her eyes and splatters her face with his blood.

Felix had watched the whole situation unfold with calculating green eyes. The moment his sharp senses had detected something was up he had trained his sniper’s scope on the Batarian until the right moment and then…BANG! Dead batarian, and one more innocent saved from a cruel fate. Felix smiled behind his helmet as he popped the heat sink to his weapon and cocked it with a fresh bullet. This was his favorite pastime; all he had to do was come up onto one of the rooftops and just point and shoot. He was bound to hit some low life lurking in the shadows and this one was the thirteenth one tonight! A new record, but that also meant that all the little rats would be scurrying into their holes for fear of being the next target. He let a low growl escape his throat; they were cowards, all of them! They attacked those weaker than them yet feared when they were they one’s being hunted. They got what they deserved and Felix trained his scope to scan the alleyways below once more. The young asari girl was crying but she looked extremely relieved as well, and hurried on her way home before something else happened.

“Target practice again Felix?” Felix turned his helmet slightly towards the voice but already knew who it belonged to. “You know me Gavick, it’s such a stress reliever to come up here and shoot a few rats. I mean, I don’t even have to try! It gets kind of boring after a while though, they just never learn.” His voice was more echoed than usual due his helmet, but it came out strong and young as he looked to the older Turian beside him. Gavick was the first guy he met when he had come to Omega and one of the few who actually knew his real name. The pale white Turian let out a soft laugh as he shook his head “Befitting of Archangel to be the dark vigilante who strikes from the shadows to save the innocents! Or at least, that is what many have been saying as of late. Quite a title you have garnered with just being a hot headed pup.” Felix drew back his sniper and stood up to meet the other Turian. He took off his helmet only to breathe the thick sour air of the station and clicked his mandibles after sitting for so long. “I’m not the one who calls myself archangel. These poor pathetic people came up with that name…” It was a bit embarrassing how supposedly infamous he had become here as of late. Omega is not the place you would want to garner attention in but somehow he had managed without even trying to really.

Felix strapped his rifle to his magnetic clasp on his armor. He wore the usual Turian issued suit while the colors were silver with red trims and of good material. His hide was much darker than Gavick’s and was a dark brown with red tribal markings that spread over his piercing green eyes like blood red fangs. Gavick shook his head to Felix and issued for him to follow “The men have scouted out a shipment of red sand that the Blood Pack has been hiding. Aria doesn’t even know about it seems, but I think a little surprise from us will turn some heads.” Felix nodded to their findings, he had been suspicious of the Blood Packs shipment’s lately since a few of them did not add up to their regular orders and had sent some of his men to investigate. Apparently he had been right and that made him smile “Figures, have you found the informant yet for the shipping details? We need to figure out the warehouse that they are storing all this extra sand in and show these mercs a good time.” Felix was more than ready to make a raid, he had been very patient with this one and his waiting was about to pay off. Gavick turned down a familiar street corner as the sound of a low beat could be felt all around him. “Yes, the informant should be at the lower bar in Afterlife. I’ve already paid off the guards at the doors so they should let us in with ease.” The sound of music was already beating all around them as his sensitive hearing picked up on the vibrations that thrummed through the walls of the bar. This was Aria’s lair but Felix had found that keeping close to his enemies was already a good strategy and he was no stranger here. Number one rule to this place was to stay out of the asari’s way and you wouldn’t get hurt. He made sure to keep it in mind.

Gavick gave Felix a pat on the shoulder “Alright buddy, go get them. I know how much you like the atmosphere here so I’ll be off to inform the others. Keep your eye’s sharp and your senses sharper. There is always someone who I watching you in this place. Best to not draw too much attention.” Felix knew to heed the warning and gave his friend a grin before turning to leave. Felix had frequented this place often and knew many of the bartenders, dancer, and patrons here. It was how he was able to be so proficient at what he did and he pulled on the collar of his suit as he rolled his head. His scar along his face and neck, was beginning to ace as it usually did, when he entered this loud place but at least here is was not unusual to see a Turian walking around in armor. As he cast a quick glance to the krogan outside, he was issued a low grunt but the large beast made no effort to stop him as he passed through and the music, sights, and smells of all that was Omega rushed at him.

Lights bounced off the walls as dancers entertained their patrons and the cold air of the bar hit his skin. It was an intoxicating first experience and the many scents of pheromones caused him to become excited as his mind swirled with the exhilaration of the moment. This feeling quickly passed though as he regained composure and swiftly made his way to the lower bar of Afterlife. He cast a quick glance to the alcove above him before he descended. That was where Aria sat, like a queen over her dominion, yet here walked Archangel undetected into her lair. The thought made him smile inwardly but he simply kept walking without a second glance till he reached the smaller bar beneath. This was where the more shady character’s made their keep but also a great place to chat while remaining unseen. No one asked questions and you were either here for the drinks and woman or you were here for an informant. Felix ignored the passing glances of the asari dancers as they threw him alluring stares and called for him to sit with them. Since he had come here to Omega he had very little time to indulge in such things and was focused on only meeting his informant. He ignored their calls as they sulked to themselves and moved on to the next individual willing to pay for their company.

Felix casually took a seat at the bar as he ordered a hard drink. He could do with something that had a kick and guessed that the informant would not approach him immediately. He would just have to wait till the other felt safe and Felix had time to spare. The smells of this place were rank but he was surprised how he had grown so used to them. The lighting was bright but not too blinding as the neon reds and blues played across his armor and face. They illuminated the scars on his left side as they appeared stark white against his dark skin. He clicked his mandibles in wait as he scanned the area; it was the usual crowed other than the batarian he had killed a few hours before. Felix would enjoy his time here for now as he soaked in the filth of the place and kept an eye out for his informant as well as others.

Among the countless dank sections of Omega, there were a select few outside of Afterlife where a lot unsavory business is usually conducted. The music muffled by the doors was loud enough not to bother anyone and loud enough when they opened to hide the sound of a pistol when things went sour.

A short woman made her way towards the doors of Afterlife with hands in the pockets of her jacket, head held low to be half-hidden inside the collar and for all intentions looking as if she were heading to the club. The dim lighting revealed a little more: the hard set of her jaw, the glint of a pistol just inside her jacket and obvious to anyone that was looking. Instead of continuing through the doors, she stopped near a shadowy corner and lifted her head to stare at a crouched figure.

“I know that's you, Bhisma.” Her voice was loud enough to be carried over when the doors hissed open nearby. “Word has it that you know of a job with good credits.” She never moved any closer into the shadows, well aware it was a bad move.

A batarian unfolded himself from the ground and first checked out the short woman and then his surroundings. “That's the sort of news that doesn't travel your usual haunt on Omega. Desperate, Raziya?”

The girl's head ducked further into the collar and her eyes narrowed into a glare. “Doesn't matter, I heard. So, what is it? You already know my skills.” She kept the doors in her sight, making notes of those that were moving in and out of Afterlife and never once moving from her spot where she could bolt easily into the crowded club in case of trouble. When the batarian did not answer, she sighed and gave in to his request. “Yes, I need the credits.”

A greasy smirk stretched the batarian's face, churning Raziya's stomach even more in disgust for having easily succumbed to his game. “If that's the case, I know an easy and quick way for you to make credits.” The woman's hand was on her pistol before he could finish and a fierce scowl crossed her dark features. “Well, if you're not that desperate... Vaetro's looking for a few mercs, new faces.”

The scowl did not lessen and her repulsion showed clearly. “Forget it. Vaetro's nothing but a slaver and I'm not going anywhere near that.” Raziya reluctantly let go of her pistol in its halter, dismissing Bhisma with a wave of her hand. “I have a feeling I'm not going to get any other offers from you today.” The man's leer was her only answer.

With one last glower at him, she walked through Afterlife's doors and immersed herself in the loud music and low lighting of the lower sections of the club. The smell of the alcohol and sweat form the bodies around her incited her need for a drink. It was not until she angrily stalked her way to an empty spot at the bar that she realized her dilemma. She had only a meager amount of credits left that she could not spend on a drink. Instead, she was forced to look at the waiting bartender with nothing to order. She gave him an apologetic shrug and sat down facing out towards the club, making sure he understood she had nothing to order.

She may as well scope the section of the club out and seek out familiar faces. Faces she knew either were looking for a job like her or had contacts with someone that needed something illegal to be done. She knew what she really had to do... she had to drop the death glare and try to actually attract someone to buy her a drink if she wanted it that badly. By the time she examined those seated at the bar, she at least looked less like she wanted to kill someone and more like she was bored of her current situation.

    ~. Turian .~ Male ~. 31 ~. Soldier .~ “Just follow my lead and I’ll give you a night to remember.”.~

Felix had been here for almost an hour now and even he was growing impatient. This informant was either terrified to show himself or perhaps he was already dead. That tends to happen a lot in this place. He waved the bartender away as he tried to refill his drink, Felix would not indulge on too much alcohol tonight, and he needed to be sharp since he could feel that he was being watched. Another patron soon sat next to him, a human male and a young one at that. “Are you the one they call Archangel?” Felix threw a sharp glare at the young male which made the human jump. What the hell kind of informant was this?! The guy was just a pup and had pulled a very bad mistake. “Listen kid, if you want to survive in this place you better learn what to and not to say. You never know who might cut your tongue out…” He was not trying to be threatening to the boy and was quite serious actually. But the human looked pale and Felix could smell his fear as he shook his head. “Look, do you know the location of where the Blood Pack is storing their Red Sand?” His voice was soft but he gave the young man a sideways glance as the human nodded, “Sure I do. They are holding it down in the lower wards near the living quarters and close to the docking bays. Easy access in and they are also using the residents there to store most of it for them.”

Felix clicked his mandibles in thought; this kid had to be on something, because he did not believe a word about handing red sand over to a bunch of residents who would probably use it for themselves. “You don’t believe me?” The human’s voice broke in as Felix looked up, “Well it certainly doesn’t add up now does it.” Felix voiced his opinion as the male shook his head, “You don’t get it do you. All those people are far too terrified to use that sand for themselves. They use us like human shields, keep the place in public but out of site, If we so much as even look at the stuff they would kill everyone on the whole block.” Felix tilted his head to this info, so the boy was a part of all this? He was also taking a very big risk in informing him and would probably not last the night for his courage. “Thank you for the information…best get home before they find you missing though.” The boy shook his head once more, “I’m no fool. I’m a dead man for even telling you this, but if there is a chance you could help us then it was worth it…” Felix was stunned, chivalry like this was not found often on Omega and this child was sacrificing himself for his friends and family. Felix suddenly felt respect for the lad even though the human was clearly terrified of his fate. “I will do everything in my power to make them suffer for their crimes.” He had not meant for his voice to rumble so deeply as a growl escaped his throat. This was why he was here after all, to help the poor souls who were tormented by criminals like these, or at least that was how everyone viewed him to be. Felix would make sure they suffered slowly though, like they deserved, he was here to simply kill these thugs and he would make sure to do just that.

Felix got up from his seat and left the man there. There was nothing he could do for him now and already he had noticed two individuals get up and follow him. So they were watching? Of course they were, well he would have to lose them somehow. He just really did not want to start something in the very place where Aria laird. His pace was brisk as his strides were confidant and precise. He carefully made his way back up to the upper bar of Afterlife and the thrum of music vibrated through his bones. Mandibles clicking in thought as he weighed his options, Felix caught site of a lone patron and decided to try and blend in before he made his move in getting the hell out of this place.

The female was young and with fair dark skin. Her fringe was dark like his but her scent was that of metal and of the earth. All humans seemed to carry that same earthy scent, though it did vary from human to human. He took a seat next to her and casually introduced himself, all the while keeping an eye on those who were watching him and noticing how two soon turned to four. “Hey, how’s it going? I can’t help but notice that you’re sitting at a bar without a drink. Probably means you have no credits to spend. Am I right?” He gave the human female his best Turian smile as his mandibles flared and clicked. His sharp green eyes inspected hers and he knew almost instantly that she was someone who could kill, who had experience in fighting, and best of all, she had a pistol. “So no drink, no credits, and just sitting here looking for a job to land in your lap. I guess it’s your lucky day. See, I have a slight problem. See those four individuals eyeing us?” Felix gave a nudge in the direction of the two Turians and two Batarians who were certainly keeping an eye on them. “I am pretty sure they want to kill me. So I want to hire you to walk out with me and have a little fun. How about it? You look like you could use some excitement in your life.” He said this all so casually as if the two had known each other all their lives. He made sure to give her a charming smile as he leaned against the counter and passed a few credits her way. “I’ll pay the rest after we’ve had our fun. Just follow my lead and I’ll give you a night to remember.”

Felix looked over his shoulder quickly to see that they were starting to make their move. The four were weaving through the crowd and towards Felix and his human companion. He looked back to her, his eyes lit up with excitement for what was about to come. All they had to do was walk out of here casually and find a nice dark place to get rid of these guys, and done. Easy as pie, as the humans would say. These idiots were sure to follow and he could tell the human had skill and needed the credits. One little quick job couldn’t hurt now could it? Or would she be too afraid and not accept the challenge? Her eyes held pride and Felix knew as soon as he had shown her the credits that she would help him. Hopefully, she wouldn’t get herself killed in the process, but at least this would be some fun nevertheless.
